CairnGorm Mountain - Saturday 9th March 2002

A light covering of fresh snow improved the condition of the open runs, but lots of icy areas appeared during the day as the underlying hard packed base became exposed. Snow showers this evening should again take the edge out of the base, and pisting in the morning should spread out the fresh snow to give some good sport, though scoured areas may well appear during the day. These photos were taken late afternoon Saturday, unfortunately we missed the best of sunshine and blue skys!
