:: CairnGorm Mountain Official Report

Last Update 10.11hrs on Tuesday 20th Jan 2026

The rise in temperatures, has helped with some of the hard icy condition we had yesterday.
The Lady and M1 runs were groomed overnight and Patrol are reporting some excellent snowsports on these.
Top Bowl in great conditions

Later in the week there are high winds expected on Wednesday and Thursday along with further snowfall. This is likely to disrupt our operations, so keep a close eye on our reports nearer the time.

Longer range forecasts are suggesting suggesting it to be cold and snowy for the next two weeks!!

:: CairnGorm Mountain Lift Status & News
On busy days we can reach full capacity and may be unable to sell Lift Passes on arrival. We recommend only travelling if you’re comfortable with the possibility that you may not be able to ski or snowboard.

We cannot guarantee parking, even for pre-booked customers so please arrive early, consider car sharing or take the Stagecoach bus from Aviemore. On weekends certain days, there will be shuttle busses running from the Ciste car park from 9am.

During the winter season, and especially on weekends, our equipment rental facility will be very busy, with wait times often exceeding an hour. At present, we are only offering helmets as part of our main rental packages.

Multi-day passes are not available at the moment. Due to the changing conditions, we will release tickets only a short time in advance. If the weather is more settled, then this may change. During this busy time, we may not be able to respond to messages, comments, and email enquiries and suggest following updates on our Mountain Report.
